Major Hurricane Helene is now a CAT-4!

🚨Major Hurricane HELENE will be A CATASTROPHIC CAT 4 Hurricane and continues to rapidly intensify even this close to landfall. The Worst Case Scenario may be unfolding for Florida Big Bend soon.

⚠️You are now out of time to prepare and evacuate.

Cat 4 Hurricane Helene is well to the North of Marco Island Florida & at dusk and the storm surge has overwashed the crescent shaped beach to the dunes. 

The dunes are currently holding on so far but the City of Marco just announced they are expecting 6 feet of storm surge through the evening. Roads on Marco Island are flooding and becoming dangerous to drive on.

At south end of Marco the storm surge is rwo feet over the seawalls and docks at 8:30 PM tonight & getting higher. 

Please be careful and stay at home all along the Gulf coast of Florida.
